Based in Alexandria, Virginia, Composition Systems Inc. (CSI) is a full-service printing and graphics provider serving clients across the U.S. and Canada. Their work spans a wide range of industries, including retail, food service, museums, and live events.

The challenge before Vantage

Manual coordination and handoffs. Before partnering with Vantage, CSI managed all installations manually. Sales reps, schedulers, and installation coordinators used a mix of tools, often passing paper forms and printed documents from one stage to the next. While everyone did their part, the absence of a centralized system made it harder to move quickly.

Duplicating installation jobs. While Lift ERP was a strong fit for managing CSI’s print production, quoting, and invoicing, installation tasks had to be manually copied for the installation team. This duplication not only took extra time, but also created disconnects as sales and production teams had limited visibility into installation progress.

Communication gaps. CSI communicated with installation crews on-site using emails and text messages.With multiple installations happening each week, coordinators had to manage overflowing inboxes and scattered message threads, making it difficult to respond quickly and ensure that critical Installation details didn’t get lost along the way.

The solution Vantage delivered

Less paperwork. With Vantage, every part of CSI’s installation workflow now runs through a centralized platform. Schedulers assign jobs directly in the Vantage calendar. Installation coordinators upload install specs, RAMs, and site details to the shared media folder, ensuring installers always have the most up-to-date information. Completion reports and sign-offs are submitted online, reducing paperwork and keeping installations moving fast.

Automating manual tasks. With Vantage, installation jobs are automatically pulled from Lift ERP into the system without extra copying and pasting. This seamless connection bridges the gap between sales, production, and installation, giving every team clear visibility into job progress.
